Sheridan's Josie Ankney Signs with Charleston Southern for Track

Sheridan's Josie Ankney will continue her track and field career at Charleston Southern in South Carolina where she will compete in the throws. She currently has the top-ranked distance in the state in the shot put as she threw 44-1.25 at the Cody Bunny Meet in April. She also won the Trojan Invite in Casper this season with a toss of 40-10.

Ankney took 3rd at last year's 4A State Meet in the shot going 40-2.50. The current 4A girls shot put record is held by Baillie Gibson of Natrona at 48-9, set in 2010.

Charleston Southern is a Division 1 school that competes in the Big South Conference.
