
Jackson Leads Alpine Skiing State Championships after Day One
The Jackson Broncs are in line to continue their lengthy winning streak at the 2025 Wyoming High School Alpine Skiing State Championships. Jackson swept the top five positions in the girls’ and boys’ giant slalom (GS) races on Friday at Snow King Mountain Resort. That gave Jackson 80 teams points in each division and a commanding lead entering tomorrow’s slalom races.
Dylan Witherite defended her title in the GS with a two-run combined time of 1:34.08. She edged teammate Lily Steinberg by 0.03 seconds (1:34.11). Callie Owens took third at 1:36.03.
Nico Tozzi of Jackson won the boys’ division at 1:27.65. Lucas Goewert from Jackson placed second at 1:30.09. Teddy Peightal of Jackson finished third at 1:32.65.
In the girls’ team standings, Cody was second at 27 points. Natrona County scored 26 points for third, followed by Pinedale at 19, Kelly Walsh at 14, and Laramie with five points.
For the boys,’ Pinedale was second at 35 points. Laramie scored 26 points and was in third. Natrona County sat fourth at 20, followed by Kelly Walsh at eight, and Cody with two points.

The state championship slalom races begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
