The 2025 Wyoming High School Nordic skiing season resumes Friday and Saturday with the Pinedale Invitational at the White Pines Ski Resort. Teams opened the season three weeks ago in Jackson. This will be the second of six scheduled regular season competitions in the Wyoming prep season.

Friday will be a 7.5km skate or freestyle race with a mini mass start. That means groups of eight skiers will start every 30 seconds. The race on Friday will start at 1 p.m. with girls’ varsity followed by boys’ varsity. Saturday is a 7.5km classic race. Saturday’s race begins at 10 a.m. with the varsity boys’ skiing followed by the varsity girls.

The schools competing this weekend are Casper Kelly Walsh, Casper Natrona County, Cody, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Pinedale, and Sheridan.

The race results will be posted after the competitions are complete.

FRIDAY RESULTS

Sheridan's Kayley Alicke won the 7.5km girls' race at 22:33. Olivia Tolson of Pinedale was second (23:17), and Raina Wachob of Cody took third (23:19).

Jackson Mayer of Jackson Hole won the boys' 7.5km race at 19:20. Kalel Brubaker of NC was second (19:46), and William Blair of NC finished third (19:49).

SATURDAY RESULTS

Cody's Raina Wachob won the girls' 7.5km classic race at 30:30.71. Kayley Alicke of Sheridan finished second (30:52.94), and Julia Veauthier of Kelly Walsh came in third (30:53.64).

In the boys' race, Natrona's Kalel Brubaker cross the finish line first in the 7.5km classic race at 24:01.25. Jackson Mayer of Jackson took second (24:46.52), and Hunter Pickett from NC placed third (24:58.85).
