Small Changes in the New WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Rankings

Three changes at the No. 5 spot and no tie in 3A boys were the difference in the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Polls compared to last week. The new rankings were released on Wednesday. Powell and Kelly Walsh girls and Cody and Jackson boys retained the top spots. Worland edged their way back into the last position of the 3A girls’ top five. Laramie re-entered the 4A girls’ poll for the first time in three weeks. Cheyenne Central did the same thing in the 4A boys’ rankings. Both the Plainsmen and Indians are in the fifth spot. In 4A girls, Sheridan and Natrona County moved up one position in the poll. The last change was in 3A boys, where Mountain View and Lander are not tied for second. The Tigers received three more points in the balloting over the Buffalos.

The Powell girls and Jackson boys were one vote away from being a unanimous choice for No. 1. At least two more teams got votes in all four divisions for the second straight week.
