3A Boys Shuffle Leads Latest WyoPreps Soccer Polls

Another week of minor changes in the new WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Polls was announced on Wednesday from WyoPreps.com. Class 3A boys saw the most movement after Cody beat Buffalo, and Lander defeated Cody last week. The Broncs retained the top spot, but the Tigers moved up, and Worland rejoined the top five. 4A girls had teams swap spots, and 4A boys had a tie.

Despite the loss last Friday, Cody held onto the No. 1 ranking in 3A boys’ soccer. The Broncs got nine of the 14 first-place votes. For the first time this year, Lander moved up. The Tigers had been stuck in the third position, but their victory last Thursday at Cody vaulted them into the second spot. Buffalo slid down to third. The Warriors’ 4-1 win over Torrington last week helped them jump into the rankings in fourth. Mountain View stayed fifth.

In 4A girls, Thunder Basin and Green River traded spots. The Bolts were fourth, and the Wolves were fifth. Jackson remained at the top with 16 of the 19 first-place votes. Kelly Walsh followed in second, and Laramie was third.

The only difference in the 4A boys’ top five was a tie for second. Jackson earned all but one first-place vote. Sheridan and Kelly Walsh were tied for second. The Trojans received the other ballot for No. 1. Thunder Basin remained fourth, and Green River kept the fifth spot.

Class 3A girls did not change again.
