Minor Shifts Shake Up Three Divisions in Latest WyoPreps Soccer Polls

A few small moves occurred in three of the four divisions of the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Polls released on Wednesday. No new teams entered the rankings, but 4A girls, 3A boys, and 4A boys all saw a change within their top five teams. Class 3A girls remained the same and had the only unanimous No. 1 team in the poll.

There was no tie in 4A girls this week. Jackson held the top spot with 15 of the 18 first-place votes. Kelly Walsh remained second, followed by Laramie in third. The Lady Plainsmen got the other three votes for first. Green River moved into fourth alone, and Thunder Basin was fifth. Riverton dropped from the top five.

The two boys’ divisions saw teams flip positions.

In 3A, Cody earned all but one first-place vote. The Broncs just beat Buffalo on the road on Monday in a head-to-head match. The Bison stayed in second. Lander as third. Torrington moved up to fourth, and that pushed Mountain View down to fifth.

Jackson topped the 4A boys’ poll again. The Broncs earned 11 of the 14 first-place votes. Sheridan climbed to second over Kelly Walsh, who fell one spot to third. Both the Broncs and Trojans got first-place votes. Thunder Basin and Green River stayed fourth and fifth, respectively.

3A girls were the same. The Cody Fillies were a unanimous No. 1 with all 12 first-place ballots. Powell was second, ahead of Lander, Buffalo, and Mountain View.
