New WyoPreps Soccer Rankings Revealed on Wednesday

The new WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Polls featured a change at the top of 4A girls for the second straight week, a new team in 4A girls, and some shuffling in both 3A rankings. Kelly Walsh moved back to the top spot in 4A girls’ soccer. The Trojans earned five of the nine first-place votes. Jackson dropped to second but still got four first-place votes. Sheridan held in the third position. The Broncs received three first-place votes. Riverton joined the poll for the first time this season and moved into a tie for fourth with Natrona County. In 3A girls, the only change was that Worland and Lander traded spots. Cody was at the top of both 3A rankings. In the boys’ top five, Lander fell from second to fifth. Mountain View, Torrington, and Buffalo all climbed one spot. There was no change in the 4A boys’ poll.

For the second consecutive poll, the Cody and Jackson boys were one vote shy of being a unanimous choice for No. 1. At least two other teams got votes in all four divisions.

Class 3A Girls:

1 = Cody

2 = Douglas

3 = Powell

4 = Worland

5 = Lander

Class 4A Girls:

1 = Kelly Walsh

2 = Jackson

3 = Sheridan

T4 = Riverton

T4 = Natrona County
