New No. 1 Headlines the Latest WyoPreps Soccer Polls

A new No. 1 atop the 4A girls’ rankings highlighted the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Polls released on Wednesday. Last week’s dramatic win by second-ranked Kelly Walsh over No. 1 Jackson pushed the Trojans to the top spot. KW won that match, 4-3, and the game-winning goal was scored with 31 seconds left. Meanwhile, Cody still topped both 3A polls, and Jackson remained first in the 4A boys’ poll.

WYOPREPS WEEKLY SOCCER RANKINGS FOR MARCH 25, 2026

Kelly Walsh received nine of the 17 first-place votes and climbed to first in 4A girls by 12 points over Jackson, who fell to second. Laramie stayed at No. 3 after not playing last week, but the Lady Plainsmen are in a tie for that position with Riverton, who started its season at 2-0. Thunder Basin was fifth. There was no change in the 3A girls’ poll. The Cody Fillies earned 10 of the 12 first-place votes. Powell, Lander, Buffalo, and Douglas remained in that order and completed the top five.

Two new teams entered the boys’ soccer rankings. In 4A, the Jackson Broncs got 15 of the 18 first-place votes and held the top spot. Kelly Walsh moved up to second after its 4-4 draw versus Jackson last Saturday in Casper. Sheridan dropped to third, despite a 5-goal victory in its opener on the road. Thunder Basin climbed up to fourth and even got a first-place vote. Green River’s 2-0 start in the 4A West Conference impressed enough voters that the Wolves grabbed the last spot in the top five. In 3A boys, the top four held steady. Cody garnered six of the 10 first-place ballots. Buffalo, Lander, and Torrington followed the Broncs. Mountain View kept the No. 5 position, but newcomer Worland joined the Buffalos in a tie for that spot.
