High school softball teams have their first full week of action in the 2025 season, but it won’t be a full slate. Week 2 sees the first conference games of the season. Most of the action will be on the east side of the state or in Green River and Rock Springs. Four schools will not play this week due to Spring Break. The schedule is subject to change.

TUESDAY, MARCH 25

Final Score: Torrington 5 Cheyenne South 4 (Conference game) - the Blazers took a 3-2 lead in the 3rd, extended to a 5-2 lead in the 5th, and held off a 7th-inning rally by South. Hernandez had 3 hits for Torrington, while Wunder added 2 RBIs. Reinhardt got the win in the circle. Osban had 2 hits & 2 RBIs for South.

THURSDAY, MARCH 27

Final Score: Wheatland 18 Cheyenne South 7 (Conference game) - the Bulldogs used a 13-run 3rd inning to break open a 4-2 game. Mickelsen had 3 hits (2B) and 3 RBIs. Meyer added 2 triples & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Sheridan 12 #3 Campbell County 11 - 9 inns. (Conference game) - the Broncs win their 1st conference game thanks to a 2-run HR by Howe in the bottom of the 9th. Sheridan hit 3 HRs and was paced by Howe with 2 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs.

Final Score: #3 Campbell County 16 Sheridan 4 - Camels scored 15 runs in the last 2 innings. Halbrooks had 3 hits & 3 RBIs. Kimbley hit 2 solo HRs.

Final Score: #4 Laramie 20 Torrington 2 (Conference game) - Laramie broke it open with 10 runs in the 4th. Doser had 4 hits, including 2 HRs and 8 RBIs for the Lady Plainsmen.

Final Score: #4 Laramie 19 Torrington 0 - a 9-run 1st inning propelled Laramie to the sweep. Suloff tossed a no-hitter with 7Ks and 1 walk in 3 innings. Milam led the offense with 4 hits, including 1 HR, and 5 RBIs.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28

Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 24 Green River 0 (Conference game) - the Thunderbirds scored 14 runs in the 1st inning and rolled to the conference game. They pounded out 22 hits with 10 extra-base hits. Petruso had 4 hits (HR) & 6 RBIs. Millar added 3 doubles & 4 RBIs.

#5 Cheyenne Central at Rock Springs - delayed; will be rescheduled for a later date

Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 10 Sheridan 0 (Conference game) - the Bolts scored 5 runs in the 1st and never trailed. Shawver had 3 hits, including 1 HR, and 3 RBIs. Mason added 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Shaffer tossed a 5-hit shutout on 58 pitches.

Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 13 Sheridan 2 - the Bolts jumped out to an 11-1 lead. Rouse had 3 hits & 4 RBIs.

Final Score: #3 Campbell County 14 Worland 0 (Conference game) - Sadie Cole threw a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts for the Camels. They scored 8 runs in the 1st inning and rolled from there. Thayer had 3 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: #3 Campbell County 16 Worland 0 - Kimbley had 4 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs and Halbrooks added 3 hits & 3 RBIs. Cone allowed 1 hit over 4 innings.

Final Score: Wheatland 12 #4 Laramie 11 (Conference game) - Coates hit the game-winning 2-run double in the bottom of the 7th on the 6th lead change of the game.

Final Score: Wheatland 19 #4 Laramie 7 - a 7-run 2nd inning pushed the Bulldogs in front, and they pulled away. Wheatland hit 3 HRs. C. Mickelsen had 2 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs, and Landri Vaughn added 3 hits (2-2B) & 3 RBIs.

SATURDAY, MARCH 29

Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 9 Rock Springs 1 (Conference game) - Stephenson allowed 2 hits with 15 Ks in the circle for the T-Birds. She also hit 1 of the 3 HRs by East. Millar had 3 hits, including 1 HR. Lake also homered.

Final Score: #5 Cheyenne Central 24 Green River 3 (Conference game) - Central led 7-0 and scored the final 17 runs. Birt had 3 hits (HR) & 5 RBIs. Kelly added 2 hits (HR) & 3 RBIs, and Thomas had 4 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: #5 Cheyenne Central 18 Green River 0 - an 8-run 2nd propelled the Indians to the sweep. Kammerman finished with 3 hits (HR) & 3 RBIs for Central. Barker & C. Birt combined on a 2-hit shutout.

Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 21 Worland 0 (Conference game) - the Bolts got a 2-hit shutout from Shaffer, who struck out 10. TB put the game away with 16 runs in the last 3 innings. Carter led the Bolts with 5 hits. Shaffer added 4 hits & 3 RBIs at the plate.

Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 16 Worland 2 - TB scored in every inning. After a 1-1 tie, the Bolts scored the next 8 runs and pulled away. Terrell had 3 hits & 2 RBIs for TB, while Means & Ludwar added 2 hits & 3 RBIs each.
