Southeast High School senior Hayden Anderson has become the latest Wyoming High School basketball player to surpass 1000 career points.

Anderson accomplished the feat during an interclass game versus 2A Lusk last Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021.

Playing at home, Anderson was able to get an offensive rebound off a missed 3-pointer by a teammate. He made a put-back layup with 53 seconds left in the second quarter to reach the 1000-point plateau. Anderson finished with 11 points in the game and helped the Cyclones defeat the Tigers, 51-38.

The senior was an all-state selection as a junior in Class 2A. Anderson is a two-time all-conference pick at Southeast High School in Yoder, WY.

He’s averaging 9.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and a team-leading 1.7 steals per game for the Cyclones. Anderson has helped Southeast to a 5-6 record, though four of those losses are to teams in higher classifications in Wyoming or out-of-state opponents from Nebraska.
