Despite a solid regular season in which St. Stephens went 8-0 in quadrant play in the 1A Northwest, the Eagles got to the state tournament as a #4 seed. So that didn't make like easy as they met a #1 seed in Upton in the opening round of the state tourney and suffered a 66-50 loss. Ronald Moore led the Eagles in this contest with 10 while Trenton Friday had 9.

In the consolation round, St. Stephens watched a 17 point lead slip away and lost to Kaycee 70-69. The Eagles had a chance to win it at the buzzer and couldn't convert so their season came to an end with a record of 22-6.

This year's team had 3 players averaging in double figures, led by Darien Barraza with 16 and he was named all-state. Trenton Friday was another all-state selection and he averaged 14 a game. Jordan Barraza was an all-conference pick and he tossed in 13 points per game. Ronald Moore was also picked for the all-conference team so this squad had some serious talent. They were the #1 scoring team in 1A and the #1 shooting team in 1A. They'll lose a lot of firepower for next season as Darien Barraza, Trenton Friday and Ronald Moore were all seniors in 2019-20.
