The Star Valley Braves won the Class 3A state wrestling championship on Friday night. The Braves put together a strong performance for the victory.

The Braves added its 24th state title in school history. This is the sixth straight wrestling title for the team.

Star Valley scored a total of 228 points to seal first place.

The team had three individual state champions and had a total of 15 wrestlers place at the state tournament.

Waylon Nelson, Sr. won his state championship at 120 pounds over fellow teammate Raf Greene, So.

Jacob Guild, Jr. at 126 pounds beat Charles Snyder of Lander by (Dec. 8-3) for his state championship.

Haze Child, Sr won his state championship at 152 pounds by beating Seth Horton of Powell by (Dec. 7-0).

Kazen Siler, Jr. at 106 pounds, Raf Greene, So. at 120 pounds, Zachary Patterson, Jr. at 182 pounds, and Gabe Nield, Sr at 285 pounds all finished in second place at the tournament.

Bridger Smith, So at 106 pounds was able to finish in third place. Kal Burke, Fr. at 126 pounds, Kaleb Fila, Jr. at 132 pounds, Joseph Thompson, Jr. at 160 pounds all finished in fourth place.

Joshua Semadeni, Sr. at 160 pounds finished in fifth place. Xavier Jirak, Sr. at 145 pounds, Tony Mickelson, Sr. at 195 pounds, and Kysen Hebdon, Jr. at 220 pounds all finished in sixth place for the team.

The Star Valley Braves continue its dominance in Class 3A as the team has the most state wrestling titles among all teams in Wyoming high school history.
