State Wrestling: 132 LB Championship Matches
The 3A 132 pound championship match featured a former state champion in Thomas Dalton of Green River matched up against Blayne Coleman of Rawlins who pinned his first three opponents at the State Tournament in Casper. Dalton took 3rd at 120 pounds last year in 3A but in 2020, he was the 4A state champion at 106 for the Wolves. Dalton meant business as he pinned Coleman to finish the year at 41-5. Coleman had a record this season of 37-6. Ross Goncalves of Worland was 3rd with Luke Ewing of Douglas 4th.
In 2A, defending state champion Conner Vickrey of Kemmerer was on the mat to take on Kaleb Brothwell from Lingle/Southeast. Brothwell brought his "A" game and posted a 6-1 win to take the state crown. He wrapped things up with a record of 35-7, Vickrey finished at 21-10. Oscar Martinez of Greybull/Riverside was the 3rd place finisher with Ayden Kelly of Kemmerer 4th.
Over in 4A, Cheyenne East freshman Liam Fox really opened up some eyes this season and cruised to a 7-1 win over Dakota Ledford of Laramie to win the trophy at 132. Fox posted 52 wins this season with just 6 losses and Ledford ended up 34-13. Sheridan senior Rudy Osborne was 3rd and Garret Fletcher of Rock Springs was 4th.
