Kendal Engelker from Douglas Commits to SW Minnesota State for Swimming

Douglas senior Kendal Engelker signed with Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN to swim. During her high school career, Engelker was a four-time 3A State Qualifier, swimming in the “A” finals multiple times, Conference Champion in the 500 freestyle, Absaraka Conference “A” finals qualifier multiple times, and was a member of school record-breaking relay teams.

At the 2023 state championships, Engelker helped Douglas’ 200-medley relay to a third-place finish. She also swam the 200 IM and 500 freestyle. The Bearcats took fifth in the team standings.

Southwest Minnesota State University is a Division II school that participates in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
