Welcome to Week 1 of the prep football season in Wyoming. This is the first full slate of games in the 2026 season. Of course, every Class 4A team made its debut last week, along with several other teams in 3A, 2A, and 1A 6-man. Nearly every team that did not play last week will have a game this week. Action on the gridiron is spread from Thursday through Saturday.

WYOPREPS WEEK 1 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SCHEDULE 2026

Three games involve ranked teams facing each other. That includes an interclass battle between 2A top-rated Big Horn and 1A 9-man No. 1 Pine Bluffs. How will that work? It will be a 9-man game with Pine Bluffs on offense, punting, and PAT's. It's 11-man for kickoffs and kick returns, and Big Horn on offense, punting, and PAT's.

There's also a 2-4 matchup in 4A between Cheyenne East and Natrona County. Finally, a No. 1 versus No. 2 showdown will happen on Saturday in 6-man, as Burlington travels to Baggs to face Little Snake River. That's a rematch of the last four 1A 6-man title games.

Two Wyoming teams will be in the 19th Rocky Mountain Rumble in Pocatello, Idaho. Class 3A top-ranked Star Valley and No. 3 Riverton will play opponents from Alberta, Canada, at Idaho State's ICCU Dome.

Final Score: #5 Lovell 22 Burns 15 (at Glenrock) - Bulldogs got the game-winning TD with just over 3 minutes left. The Broncs had 2 punt return TDs.

Final Score: #4 Natrona County 28 #2 Cheyenne East 14 - True and Wilcox combined for over 300 yards rushing, and NC snapped a 9-game losing streak in the series.

Final Score: Laramie 27 Rock Springs 21 - Parvin throws for a career-high 340 yards and 2 TDs for the Plainsmen.

Final Score: Powell 34 Worland 7 - Seifert goes 12-14 passing for 151 yards and 3 TDs.

Final Score: Green River 12 Rawlins 3 - 1st win of the Brennan Walk era. Brown ran for 151 yards and 1 TD. Kuball added 2 FGs for the Wolves.

Class 2A

Final Score: Pinedale 15 Glenrock 14 - Herders score with 7 seconds left; Wranglers get the stop on the 2-point conversion to win.

Final Score: Kemmerer 45 Moorcroft 12 - Parks scored 5 TDs on the ground for the Rangers, who scored 45 or more points for the 1st time in 15 years.
