Powell's Kinley Cooley capped a superlative season with a 3A State Championship

A state champion doubles team and outstanding top-line distance runner earned the WyoPreps Athlete of the Week accolades.

Molly Hays from Cody and Dane Steel of Sheridan were named the 49th annual and 2024 Milward Simpson Award winners on Saturday at an awards luncheon in Cody.

The first winner of our girls' basketball Athlete of the Year is Cody's Molly Hays.

She won the 800 and 1600 meter runs by considerable margins.

The girls’ honor went to Cody seniors Violet Wollschlager and Riley Simone. The boys’ award went to Jackson senior Teddy Opler and junior Augie Hoelscher.

For the first time this spring, we have a track sweep. The girls’ award went to Cody senior Ada Nelson. The boys’ honor went to Evanston senior Kai Barker.

For the second consecutive year, Cody High School’s Molly Hays was selected as the Gatorade Wyoming Girls Basketball Player of the Year.
