Southeast athlete Tate Carson can do a lot of things and pursue a baseball career at Western Nebraska in Scottsbluff. Carson has played with the Westco American Legion team as an infielder on both corners of the diamond. In addition to his baseball skills, Carson was an accomplished wrestler who won the 2A state championship in 2020 at 195 pounds. He finished the season with a record of 38-11.

In his junior year, Carson placed 2nd at the 2A wrestling championships at 170 pounds with an overall record of 39-9. He was 5th at 182 pounds in his sophomore year going 25-14 and qualified as a freshman for the 2A state tournament at 160 pounds.

Carson was an all-state linebacker for the Cyclone football team as he made 38 tackles and 22 of them solo. He also caught a TD pass in the 2019 season from the tight end position.
