Teila Peters of Buffalo is certainly one of the finest wrestlers in the girls' ranks and capped a sensational season with a pin of Rivers Carrell of Worland to win the state title at 130 pounds. In fact, all 4 of her wins at the state tournament came by fall, and finished the year with 33 wins and just a single loss. She also won her weight class at the Ron Thon Tournament in Riverton earlier this year.

Peters started wrestling when she was four and earned All-American status in 2022 at the big Twin Rivers Girls National Duals in Iowa where she went 8-0. She is a supremely talented athlete who will continue her wrestling career at the University of Sioux Falls.
