State Showdown: Wyoming Prep Tennis Crowns Champions This Weekend in Gillette

The last matches in the 2025 prep tennis season are Thursday through Saturday at the Wyoming High School State Championships in Gillette. Play begins at 8 a.m. each day. Matches will be played at both high schools, Campbell County and Thunder Basin, the Campbell County Recreation Center, and Bicentennial Park. Cheyenne Central is the defending champion in both girls’ and boys’ divisions.

Thursday, the No. 1 singles matches will be at Campbell County High School. No. 2 singles play at TBHS. The No. 1 doubles matches are at Bicentennial Park. No. 2 singles are divided between the Rec Center’s indoor court and CCHS. No. 3 doubles will play at the indoor facility and Thunder Basin High School. On Friday, singles action is at the two high schools. No. 1 doubles are still at Bicentennial Park. No. 2 doubles will be at TBHS, and No. 3 doubles will play at the Rec Center.

The championship matches will be at Campbell County High School on Saturday, except the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles title matches will be at Thunder Basin High School.

Players are seeded at the state tournament based on their regional finish. Here are the brackets provided by the WHSAA. Girls are listed first, followed by boys.

Team Results: Central won its 3rd straight girls' team title and 20th in school history. Kelly Walsh, Thunder Basin, and Jackson completed the top four.
