Thermopolis got off to a slow start in the 2A football ranks but now sit at 2-3 following a 34-6 win over Pinedale back on Friday. Entering the contest, Bobcats had the #1 passing offense in 2A led by quarterback Gavin Shumway who has been completing 55% of his passes. His top targets are Del Dukes who leads 2A in receiving yards per game as well as Roady Farrell who is the defending 2A state champion in wrestling at 160 pounds. He also excels on the prep rodeo circuit.

Thermopolis did turn in their best effort of the year on defense against Pinedale and defense has been an issue for the Bobcats. They entered last week's game ranked last in 2A in rushing defense and overall defense. But this team has won 2 in a row and finding traction. They have a big challenge ahead of them this week with a road game at Lyman.

Pinedale is winless on the season and has struggled to stay on the field offensively. The Wranglers will be at Kemmerer this week. We have some all-star photos of the Thermopolis-Pinedale game courtesy of Joan Snyder-Mitchell. They can be found in our gallery below. Enjoy!
