
Thunder Basin’s Morgan Shirley Commits to North Dakota for Soccer
Thunder Basin senior goalkeeper Morgan Shirley announced her future plans to play college soccer at the University of North Dakota on Monday.
As a junior, Shirley was selected all-state and all-conference during the 2023 season. She allowed nine goals with 12 shutouts in 19 matches last spring. Shirley made 78 saves through the regional tournament.
Morgan made her announcement via social media Monday afternoon.
Her senior season will be in the spring of 2024.

Shirley helped Thunder Basin to a 17-1-1 record this past season and a third-place finish at the 2023 state soccer championships in Rock Springs.
She also played in four matches as a sophomore during the 2022 season. Shirley had four victories with two saves and one shutout. The Bolts went 18-0 and won the 4A state title that season.
