Tongue River has gone 5 straight seasons of not making the playoffs but that might change this year. The Eagles are 3-0 after a 43-0 home win over Glenrock on Friday. Tongue River started the season with a zero-week win over the Sheridan JV and followed that up with a 49-6 victory over Thermopolis. The Eagles have some speed for sure and put the game Glenrock game away in the 2nd quarter with a display of quickness and guile. TR returns one all-conference player in Tavis Aksamit but there's talent at the skill positions which will make them a challenge to defense. Last season, the Eagles went 5-4 so it appears that they are turning the corner.

Glenrock was coming off a resounding 36-6 win over Kemmerer to start the season. The Herders have re-installed their double-wing running offense which had great results against Kemmerer and not-so-great results vs. Tongue River. But the season moves along quickly as Tongue River has a road game at Upton-Sundance while Glenrock will be at home on Friday to meet Big Horn.
