The Tongue River boys basketball team jumped out to a big lead and defeated Moorcroft on Friday night 64-46. The Eagles had a significant size advantage and punished the Wolves in the paint. Senior Sam Patterson is 6-6 and is a tough defensive assignment for anybody and he threw in 15 points in this contest. Sophomore  Nate Guimond chipped in 14 so this a squad with multiple offensive weapons.

Moorcroft was led in scoring by Clay Stripp and Gavin Bohannon with 11 each and Lane Woof had 8. The Wolves at 9-9 will be the #4 seed at the Northeast Regional Quad on Thursday in Wright and their first-round opponent will be a talented team from Sundance. Thursday is a one-and-out deal. If you win, you go to state and if you lose, you will not be going to state.

Tongue River sports a record of 15-3 and they will be a #2 seed at the Northeast quad and will play Big Horn on Thursday.
