
Torrington Grabs a #1 Seed in 2A With a Win over Burns
Torrington was the 2A runner-up in 2020 and their season-long goal is to take the next step and reach the top of the mountain. The Blazers are 7-2 overall and 7-0 in conference play after a 24-6 win over Burns on Friday night.
Torrington got out of the gate quickly with a couple of first-quarter touchdowns. The first one was a 1 yard run to the end zone from quarterback Beau Bivens and then Bivens threw a 79 yard TD pass to Keiser Wolfe. The Blazers led 14-0 at the intermission.
Torrington added a 3rd quarter field goal and in the 4th quarter, Wolfe caught his 2nd TD pass of the game on a play that covered 34 yards. Burns found the end zone in the final quarter as Caden David tossed a 28-yard touchdown pass to Cody Hape. Burns finishes the season at 2-7 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
