It is the last week of the regular season. Week 8 of the high school track season in Wyoming is here. These are the final tune-ups before the regional track championships next weekend. After the weather moved a few track meets early in the week, the end of the week is packed full of competitions. The 13 events are in Arapahoe, Big Horn, Cody, Mountain View, Kemmerer, Pine Bluffs, Thermopolis, Sundance, Gillette, Jackson, Torrington, Lusk, and Lander.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 7:

ARAPAHOE CHARTER TWILIGHT INVITE in Arapahoe, WY – Arapahoe Charter, Ft. Washakie, Lander.

Girls Team Scores = Lander 141, Ft. Washakie 50, Arapahoe Charter 10.

Boys Team Scores = Lander 145, Ft. Washakie 38, Arapahoe Charter 21.

For girls, Izelee Hereford of Ft. Washakie won the 3200 meters & 300-meter hurdles. In the boys' division: Fin Johnson of Lander won the 100 & 200 meters. KC McCabe of Ft. Washakie won the 800 & 1600 meters.

BIG HORN vs. TONGUE RIVER DUAL at BHHS – Big Horn, Sheridan, Tongue River.

THURSDAY, MAY 8:

CODY TRACKSTRAVAGANZA at Cody HS – Cody, Lovell, Powell.

Girls Team Scores = Powell 267, Cody 252, Lovell 28.

Boys Team Scores = Cody 298.50, Powell 178.50, Lovell 51.

Audrey Johnson of Powell won the 100, 200, & 400 meters. Kinley Cooley won the 800 & 1600 meters. Reyna Jones from Cody swept the 2 hurdle races. In the boys' division, Kyler Stinson of Cody won the 100 & 200 meters. Teammate Gabe Bree won the 400 & 800 meters. Powell's Braxton Nelson won the high jump & long jump. Halen Strom of Lovell swept the throwing events.

JEFF HEREFORD INVITATIONAL at Mountain View HS – Evanston, Lyman, Mountain View.

Girls Team Scores = Mountain View 220.50, Lyman 99, Evanston 88.50.

Boys Team Scores = Mountain View 232, Evanston 191, Lyman 96.

Addyson Stephens of Mtn. View won the 100 & 200 meters, plus the long jump & triple jump. Teammate Addison Hickey won both throwing events. In the boys' division, Bowen Bury from MV won the 100 & 200 meters. Dallin Bradshaw from Lyman won the long jump & triple jump. 

LARRY RECTOR INVITATIONAL at Kemmerer HS – Farson-Eden, Kemmerer.

Girls Team Scores = Kemmerer 233, Farson-Eden 11.

Boys Team Scores = Kemmerer 265, Farson-Eden 73.

PINE BLUFFS FIELD EVENT EXTRAVAGANZA at Pine Bluffs HS – Burns, Pine Bluffs, Torrington, Wheatland.

Jesus Solis of Pine Bluffs won the long jump & triple jump. Bode Stone of Wheatland won the shot put & discus.

NC's Ashley Gross won the 1600 meters & was 3rd in the 400 meters. Champ Ransom won the boys' 1600 meters.
