After five seasons at the helm, Trista Day is stepping down as the head volleyball coach at Riverton High School.

Riverton Athletic Director Reggie Miller announced the resignation in a press release on Wednesday.

Miller said, “Trista led Riverton for five years and provided our athletes the ability to grow on and off the field. Riverton High School thanks Trista and her family for the time devoted to our volleyball program.”

Riverton went 100-74 in Day’s five seasons. The Wolverines qualified for the state volleyball tournament three times. Riverton took third in Class 3A in 2016 and fourth in 2017. They also made the state tournament last fall in Class 4A and went 2-2. The Wolverines advanced to the third-place game but lost to Cheyenne East. They finished last season with a 26-13 overall record.

The search for the new head coach at Riverton High School for next season will begin immediately.
