The Upton girl's basketball team returned to the state tournament after a 3-year absence and proved they were a pretty good team. The Bobcats took 3rd at the 1A state tournament and finished the year 16-10. They had one all-state player in Katlyn Louderback who averaged 11 points a game and three all-conference selections in Jerrica Caylor who threw in 10 points per game as well as Alyson Louderback and Kendra Timberman.

In the state tournament quarterfinal round, Upton took on Saratoga and won that handily 53-34. Alyson Louderback had 18 on 8-10 from the field. Katlyn Louderback and Jerrica Caylor each had 12. Their semi-final round game with Cokeville was one of the best, maybe the best game of the 1A tournament.  The Cats did end up losing 54-53 and were one 3 point play away from winning the game. Katlyn Louderback had 15 with Alyson Louderback netting 13. Upton was 18-34 from the free-throw line in that contest.

In the 3rd place game, Upton got by a pesky Rock River team 52-37 Katlyn Louderback leading the way with 15 and Caylor chipping in 10. This was a game where Upton went to the free-throw line just 5 times and made them all.

Next year, Upton is going to be tough as they'll lose just 2 seniors from this year's squad. Katlyn Louderback will be a senior next year and Alyson Louderback along with Jerrica Caylor will be juniors.
