Final Volleyball Poll: Big Horn and Cody Stay Perfect at No. 1 All Season

Two teams went wire-to-wire as a top-ranked team, as the final WyoPreps Coaches and Media Volleyball Poll was revealed on Wednesday night. Big Horn in Class 2A and Cody in Class 3A were the two teams that began the season at No. 1 and remained there every week this season. The Rams earned nine of the 11 first-place votes, while the Fillies received 11 of the 12 ballots for the top spot. Burlington returned to the top five of 1A for the first time since the third poll of the year. The only other changes were teams flipping spots within the top five.

Little Snake River, Big Horn, Cody, and Kelly Walsh retained the top spot in their respective classification. No one was a unanimous pick for No. 1. In Class 1A, besides the Huskies’ move back into the top five, Southeast and Hulett traded positions. The Cyclones climbed back up to third, which pushed the Red Devils down to fourth. Lovell edged up to third in 3A by three points in the voting. That meant Mountain View fell one spot to No. 4, despite the Buffalos’ second-place finish in the 3A West Conference standings. Class 4A did not have a tie in the final rankings, while 2A did not change.

1 = Little Snake River

2 = Cokeville

3 = Southeast

4 = Hulett

5 = Dubois

Class 2A:

1 = Big Horn

2 = Tongue River

3 = Sundance

4 = Greybull

5 = Pine Bluffs
