The top-ranked Thunder Basin Bolts girls’ soccer team continues to roll along in the 2022 season.

They are off to a 7-0 start this season. The Bolts lead the 4A East Conference with a 6-0 record.

After a 3-1 victory at Sheridan on Tuesday, Thunder Basin has outscored their opponents 28-2 so far this season.

This is a relatively young squad with only four seniors on the Bolts’ roster.

WyoPreps spoke to two of the team captains before a recent match, juniors Sam Bonar and Kylie Hayes. They discussed the start to their season, areas of the game they are working on, the meshing of a young squad, some fun items surrounding soccer, and more.

The Bolts have seven matches left in the regular season. They are scheduled to host Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East this weekend.
