Week 8 Football Rankings

Heading into the final week of the regular season of prep football,  teams are far more concerned about conference seeding that statewide rankings.

But, voter turnout was still  great,  though, for the Week 8 Wyopreps coaches and Media Football poll.  #1’s keep their spots in Natrona, Powell, Lyman, Cokeville and Dubois.   Only powell, though, is a unanimous #1 this week.

Changes occur in 3A where Riverton moves to third, Green River fourth and Douglas fifth.   2A and 1A swap out Wheatland for Glenrock and  Shoshoni for Upton/Sundance in the five spots.

4A has the top six teams playing each other in #2 Gillette at #1 Natrona and #4 East and #3 Sheridan.   3A pits #5 Green River on the road at #1 Powell.   in 2A,  #2 Big Horn hosts third ranked Newcastle for the 2A East title.   1A”s big game sees #1 Cokevill travel to #3 Burlington for the West conference title.
