Seeking their first state tournament bid since 2018, the Worland Warriors girls’ basketball team looks to be a contender in 3A this season.

Worland is at 10-4 this season and sits second in the 3A Northwest Quadrant.

The Warriors have two terrific inside players in seniors Denali Jones and Darla Hernandez. They’ve received quality play on the perimeter, highlighted by senior Tymberlynn Crippen.

Crippen and Hernandez spoke to WyoPreps after a recent road win at Rawlins. The two seniors discussed their good win after a long road trip, how they feel their season is going, what they need to improve on, getting ready for one big game, and some fun items surrounding the game off the court in the video at the beginning of this story.

Coach Ben Hofmann is in his fifth season at the helm. He assessed the win over the Outlaws, how well Crippen has been playing, plus their ‘twin towers’ inside with Jones and Hernandez, where his team’s at about a month out from the biggest game of their season, and what their next steps are to get to where they want to be.

Four games are remaining on the Warriors’ schedule before they head to Lovell for the Regional Quad on March 4.
