
Worland’s Darla Hernandez Commits to Northwest College for Basketball
Northwest College in Powell has added Darla Hernandez of Worland to their roster for the upcoming season. In her senior year with the Warriors, Hernandez averaged 14 points and 6 rebounds per game and was named all-state in 3A Worland ended up taking 3rd place at the State Tournament with a record of 17-6. She had a season-high 21 points vs. Burns and 16 rebounds vs. Thermopolis; also a season-high.
She was an all-state selection in her junior year as well, throwing in 13 points a game with 9 boards per contest. She had a 26 point game against Wind River and a 12 rebound game against Buffalo. The Warriors went 16-8 in her junior season but the state tournament was wiped out due to the pandemic.
Hernandez was also a two-time all-conference selection in volleyball. The ladies' team at Northwest of Powell went 10-11 last season.
