The Wright wrestling team won the 2A Northeast Quad over the weekend and beat defending state champion Moorcroft in the process. The Panthers churned out 181 points with Moorroft taking 2nd with 149 and Tongue River 3rd with 135.

Wright had 6 individual champs in that meet in Moorcroft; Wyitt Knight at 106, Pace Garrett at 120, Kagen Baker at 126, 138 pounder Kaden Tescher, Colten Smith at 152, and Kayden Mack at 170.

Baker and Mack took 4th at last year's state championships and are looking to make that major step forward. We caught up with those guys at that regional for their thoughts on the season and the upcoming state championships which for the 2A schools will be on Thursday in Casper.
