The boy's basketball team of Cheyenne East was one of the hosts for the Winter Showcase Tournament over the weekend and it didn't start all that well with a loss to Kelly Walsh. But the T-Birds rebounded with a 57-41 win over Natrona on Friday and a 7-point victory over Rock Springs on Saturday to get to 6-4 on the season. In the Natrona game on Friday night, East received 16 points from Trayden Johnson and a dozen points from Kam Nath.

Natrona ended up winning 2 out of 3 in the Cheyenne Tournament with wins over Central and South but it was a struggle against East on Friday. The Mustangs let the game get away from them in the 3rd quarter and were led in scoring by Josiah Coleman with 19 and 7 from Tanner Hagar. Coleman and Hagar are averaging a combined 25 points a game as  NC is 2-6 right now.

We have some pics to pass along from Friday's match-up between East and Natrona and they can be located in our gallery below. Enjoy!
