The Thermopolis boys basketball program has come a long, long way. They've made exponential progress this season that resulted in a 2A State Championship, thanks to a 61-39 win over Pine Bluffs on Saturday night. The Bobcats have qualified for the State Tournament just three times in the last 11 years and they're last State Title was back in 2004. The Thermop fans certainly had a blast this season as the Bobcats put it all together in 2024-25.

Thermopolis has some talented scorers including Cody Bomengen who averaged 16 points a game this season and Brody Potter who threw in 12 per game. On Saturday vs. Pine Bluffs, Bomengen was 6-11 from the field for 12 points and Potter netted 18 on 7 of 11 from the floor. Zack Hastie and Del Dukes made significant contributions all year and those 2 guys combined for 25 points on Saturday night. This team got something from just about everybody, especially on defense.

We talked with Potter and Bomengen about their historic season, something they will never forget.
