Natrona Posts Road Sweep over Evanston in 4A West Hoops
Road trips in the 4A West basketball world can be excruciating at times but that's part of the deal. Natrona went westbound over the weekend to tangle with Evanston and the boy's game went right down to the wire with NC prevailing 53-52. The Mustangs have won 5 out of 6 which includes an overtime win over Riverton. This team has been getting a combined 25 points a game from Tanner Hagar and Josiah Coleman; they sit at 7-8 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Evanston dropped both of their home games over the weekend, which included a 52-36 decision to Kelly Walsh. The Red Devils have been paced this year by Ryker LInd who is averaging 14 points a game with Jordan Mendez throwing 11. Evanston is 2-1 in the 4A West SW league play and 9-7 overall.
On the girl's side of the ledgers, Natrona posted a dominating 47-25 win over Evanston to improve to 8-8 overall and 1-2 in 4A West play. Brynn Sybrant has been leading the Fillies averaging 10 points and 8 rebounds per game. Evanston dropped 2 at home last week as they were defeated by Kelly Walsh 39-33. The Red Devils are 8-9 overall and 2-1 in the 4A West SW conference. They have been led in scoring this season by Cassie Barker with 10 points and 6 rebounds per contest.
