Some of the new coaches/media rankings are about as crazy as the Wyoming spring weather.

This is will an interesting week in 4A Boys, as 4 of the top 5 teams play each other. Unanimous #1 Thunder Basin and #2 Cheyenne Central meet for the 2nd time this season. The Indians lost earlier in the week vs. unranked Cheyenne East, and have to visit the Bolts this time, making things more challenging. The other match is on Saturday, when #4 Kelly Walsh visits #5 Rock Springs. This is a battle for 1st place in the west. Laramie holds steady at #3 this week.

The pot got stirred in the 3A boys rankings, as all but 1 ranked team lost last week. Unanimous #1 and defending champ Worland, took care of business last week, and have this week off, from competition. Powell holds at #2, despite losing to arch rival Cody (who is now #5). Torrington and Rawlins check in at #3 and #4 respectively, but the Outlaws beat the TrailBlazers last week, and are wondering why they aren't ranked higher.

Like the boys, this is also an interesting week for 4A Girls. There's also a #1 vs. #2 matchup, as Thunder Basin visits Cheyenne Central. The Bolts also visit #4 Cheyenne East, who is the only team to beat them so far this season. #3 Rock Springs should get a test at home this weekend vs. unranked Kelly Walsh, while #5 Laramie has their own conference business to deal with.

For the moment, it's Cody and everyone else in 3A Girls. The defending champs are the unanimous #1 ranked team. Buffalo moves up 1 spot to #2. #4 Lander has an issue with the voters. The Lady Tigers beat #3 Worland last week, yet didn't pass them in the rankings. Rawlins and Riverton share the #5 spot. The Lady Wolverines have a tough road trip this week, visiting both Park County teams.
