
Wyoming High School Cross Country Conference Championship Scoreboard 2023
Nearly all Wyoming high school cross country teams are competing at a conference championship meet this week.
There are six races at six different locations over three days. There are a few teams that do not compete in a conference meet.
This will be the final tune-up before next week’s state championships in Cheyenne, WY. All start times were provided by the host sites.

Conference Cross Country Championships – Wednesday, Oct. 11
3A West in Riverton at the Riverton Rendezvous Site – Cody, Evanston, Green River, Lander, Lyman, Mountain View, Powell, Riverton.
Ameya Eddy of Lander won the girls' race at 19:42.66. Hailie Schramm ( 20:13.06) and Lillie Kirkham (20:23.82) of Cody took second and third. Cody topped the girls' field with 41 points as a team.
Kaden Chatfield of Riverton won the boys' race at 16:14.56. Charlie Hulbert (16:25.16) of Cody and Paul Baxter (16:37.77) of Evanston were second and third. The Red Devils won the boys' team crown with 39 points.
Conference Cross Country Championships – Friday, Oct. 13
2A West (or 5 Rivers Conference) in Ethete at Wyoming Indian HS – Burlington, Fort Washakie, Lovell, Rocky Mountain, St. Stephens, Thermopolis, Wind River, Wyoming Indian.
Jessie Michaels of Burlington won the girls' race at 21:15.91. Wyoming Indian won the girls' team title. Howard McNiven took 1st in the boys' division at 17:17.97 and helped the Huskies win the team race, as well.
3A East in Buffalo at the TA Guest Ranch – Buffalo, Burns/Pine Bluffs, Douglas, Newcastle, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland, Worland.
Maya Hall of Buffalo won the race for the girls at 19:44.01. She helped Buffalo to the team title in the girls' division. Trajn Swalstad of Worland took the boys' top spot at 16:37.55. Worland won the boys' team title.
4A East in Gillette at The Cam-Plex Park (Campbell County hosts) – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Sheridan, Thunder Basin.
Kayley Alicke of Sheridan won the girls' race at 19:25.05. Cheyenne Central took the girls' team crown. Bridger Brokaw of Central won the boys' race at 16:10.34 and helped the Indians to first place in the team standings.
4A West in Jackson at Teton Pines C.C. – Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Rock Springs, Star Valley.
Madison Antonino of Jackson crossed the line first in the girls' division at 18:22.4. Natrona County finished at the top of the girls' team standings. Habtamu Wetzel of Star Valley ran 15:45.0 for the boys' title. Star Valley swept the top 5 spots and finished with a perfect score of 15.
Conference Cross Country Championships – Saturday, Oct. 14
2A East (Powder River Conference) in Newcastle at the Newcastle G.C. – Big Horn, Hulett, Moorcroft, Sundance, Tongue River, Wright.
Grace Perkins of Tongue River won the girls' race at 22:07.44. Isaiah Cote of Tongue River captured first place in the boys' division at 18:43.51.
Girls Team Scores = Wright 19, Tongue River 20, Hulett 41.
Boys Team Scores = Sundance 23, Wright 25, Tongue River 36.
