The second weekend of the Nordic skiing season for Wyoming High School student-athletes features the Pinedale Invite.

The Pinedale Invitational is held at the White Pines Nordic Center, which is about 11 miles from Pinedale, WY.

Friday’s skiing will be a 5km skate race beginning at 1 p.m. The varsity girls’ race is first followed by the varsity boys.

The girls' race was won by Ally Wheeler of Natrona County at 14:31.4. Aurora Stiles and Abigail Murphy from Jackson took second and third.

Bennett Hutchison of Lander won the boys' race at a time of 12:35.7. Otus Beason of Lander was second, and Sam Sinclair of Jackson came in third.

Saturday’s race is a 7.5km classic. The varsity boys will start at 10 a.m., followed by the varsity girls.

The girls' race was won again by Ally Wheeler from Natrona County. Her winning time was 25:25.7. Aurora Stiles of Jackson and Ameya Eddy from Lander took second and third, respectively.

Lucas Wilmot of Jackson won the boys' race at 21:13. Sam Sinclair of Jackson took second place, and Bennett Hutchison of Lander was third.

The schools competing this weekend are Casper Kelly Walsh, Casper Natrona County, Cody, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Pinedale, and Sheridan.
