Only alpine skiers will be in action this President’s Day weekend in Wyoming.

It will be a busy two days with three races on Casper Mountain.

Alpine Skiing

The downhill skiers are back at Hogadon Basin Ski Area for three competitions.

Due to poor snow conditions, the Pinedale Invitational has moved to Casper Mountain.

Friday will be the giant slalom race starting at 11 a.m. Saturday features an early start at 8:30 a.m. because there will be two slalom races. One is a make-up for last weekend’s canceled Cody High School Invite slalom race, while the other is for the Pinedale Invitational. That means athletes will ski four runs of slalom on Saturday.

Both days of racing will be on Dreadnaught run at Hogadon Basin. Skiers from both Casper schools, Kelly Walsh and Natrona County, plus Cody, Jackson, Laramie, and Pinedale will be racing.

FRIDAY RACE RESULTS:

Jackson sweeps with Sidney Nash and Nick Janssen winning the titles.

SATURDAY RACE RESULTS:

Jackson's Sidney Nash and Ridge Kling claim the winner's spot in this race.

Jackson's Nash and Janssen won this race, which was a make-up race from the Cody Invite weekend on 2-11-22.

Nordic Skiing

This is an off weekend for cross-country skiers before next week’s state championships outside of Pinedale.
