Melody ZumBrunnen of Lusk Wins a Trio of Events @ 2A State Track

Melody Zumbrunnen of Lusk had a terrific 2A State Track Meet in 2023 with State Championships in the 200-meter dash and the triple jump. She exceeded those performances at the 2024 2A State Meet with wins in the 100, 200, and the long jump with a 2nd place finish in the 400.

Zumbrunnen ran 12.79 to take the 100 and went 25.69 to win the gold medal in the 200. She won the long jump but a considerable distance with a leap of 18 feet 2 and a half inches.

She is a superior athlete who will be taking her talent to the University of Wyoming in the fall. We talked to her about her events on the track back on Saturday in Casper with some great results.
