The fifth week of the outdoor track and field season for high school teams in Wyoming gets them to the midpoint of 2022.

There are five weeks until the state championships next month in Casper.

Track meets are set for Thursday and Friday ahead of the holiday. Big Piney, Dubois, Kaycee, Riverton, and Worland are the destinations in Wyoming.

A handful of teams are heading to South Dakota and Utah.

Lander 93 Riverton 40 - Girls

Lander's Abigail Gribowskas, Ameya Eddy, Kyra Simonson, and Teagen Pickerd won 2 events each.

Riverton 86 Lander 50 - Boys

Riverton's Tristan Watkins won 3 events.

- Kai Barker is competing in the Decathlon, while Stacia and Mia Barker are in the Heptathlon.

SATURDAY, APRIL 16:

Out-of-State events:

2022 Grizzly Invitational at Logan HS in Logan, UT – Cokeville, Evanston, Jackson, Kemmerer, Mountain View

Mountain View's Jaylee Antonino won the 300 hurdles. Evanston's Gabe Hutchinson won the 100-meters. Jackson's Mason Wheeler and Kemmerer's Owen Burnett went 1-2 in the 3200 meters. Evanston's Jesus Quintero won the 110 hurdles & the high jump, plus finished 2nd in the 300 hurdles. Mountain View's Tanner Case won the pole vault. Evanston's Payton Vernon won the shot put & was 2nd in the discus. Evanston also won the 4x400 meter relay.

Mountain Range Mustang Track & Field Invitational at North Stadium in Westminster, CO – Cheyenne Central, Laramie

Cheyenne Central took 2nd in both the boys and girls divisions. Central's Nicholas Lewis and Sam Melchior went 1-2 in the boys' pole vault. Laramie's John Rose won the long jump.
