The Wyoming Indian Chiefs successfully defended their 2A State Championship finishing the season 22-6. In the opening round of the state tournament, the Chiefs defeated Pine Bluffs 72-68 in a terrific game. Austin Hill was amazing in that game for Wyoming Indian with 27 points as the Chiefs shot 51% from the floor.

In the 2A semi-finals, the Chiefs were involved in another very close game and knocked off Big Horn 63-61. Hill was solid yet again with 20 points with War Lance Black Shawl and Brandon Redman chipping in 15 each.

In the 2A final, Wyoming Indian faced Sundance and the Chiefs pulled off a 54-49 victory in overtime. This was another tremendous game with Derek Soundingsides coming up big with 19 points and Austin Hill contributing 16.

War Lance Black Shawl and Brandon Redman were named all-state. Austin Hill and Vidale C'Bearing were named all-conference. War Lance Black Shawl, Brandon Redman, and Derek Soundingsides were all double-digit scorers but there will be some gaps to fill for next season as they'll have to replace six seniors.
