The new WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Polls see at least one change in each division.

Cody and Thunder Basin stayed atop the girls’ rankings, while Worland and Kelly Walsh led the boys’ rankings. Four teams re-entered the polls, and there was a tie in 3A girls.

Both girls’ divisions shuffled around a bit. In 4A, Thunder Basin remained No. 1 with ten of the 12 first-place votes. The Bolts are undefeated this season at 10-0. Riverton held onto second. The Wolverines earned votes in all five positions of the top five. That included two first-place votes. After a win at Riverton last week, Kelly Walsh jumped to third in the latest poll. Laramie fell to fourth, and Jackson dropped to fifth.

Cody is also undefeated, and the Fillies lead 3A girls. They are a unanimous pick for the top spot, again, with all 13 first-place votes. Worland and Powell both moved up two spots. The Warriors are now second, and the Panthers followed in third.  Douglas edged up one position to fourth, while the Buffalo and Green River girls re-entered the rankings at a tie for fifth.

The Kelly Walsh Trojans are a unanimous pick for the top spot in 4A boys. This came on the heels of their head-to-head win over Jackson. KW earned all 13 first-place votes. Jackson remained second. Despite their first loss of the 2023 season last weekend, Cheyenne Central stayed at No. 3. Thunder Basin jumped back into the poll for the first time since the preseason rankings. The Bolts are fourth this week. They are right behind the Indians in the conference standings. Rock Springs held onto the fifth spot.

Finally, in 3A boys, Worland continued at the top with 11 of the 13 first-place votes. The Warriors are followed by Powell, again. Green River and Cody traded spots, as the Wolves climbed to third, and the Broncs are fourth. Lander rejoined the top five at No. 5.
