It took a while but Saratoga finally won a state championship after 88 years thanks to a 10 point win over Farson in the 1A title game on Saturday. Saratoga nearly lost to Upton in the semi-finals and took full advantage of another day in the winner's bracket. The Panthers made some hay at the free-throw line going 21-31 and were led in scoring by Gavin Bartlett with 17 while Logan Seahorn added 16. Saratoga wrapped up the year 20-4. Farson shocked Encampment in the semi-final round and got 18 points in the title game from Zander Reed. The Pronghorns went 18-9 this year.
