Who was the best overall athlete in the graduating class of 2017?

The 5 finalists for the 2017 Milward Simpson Award have been announced.

The award is considered to be the highest honor that an athlete can receive, because they excelled in multiple sports in all four years of their high school career.

It is for graduating seniors only and will be awarded on Saturday, June 17th in Cody.

This is the 42nd year for the award.

Boys:

Hunter Thompson – Pine Bluffs (Football, Basketball, Outdoor Track and Field)

Girls:

Hannah Behunin – Mountain View (Cross County, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field)

Anna Gibson – Jackson Hole (Cross-County, Skiing, Outdoor Track and Field)

Kalina Smith – Campbell County (Volleyball, Basketball, Outdoor Track and Field)

Cosette Stellern – Cheyenne East (Volleyball, Basketball, Ooutdoor Track and Field)
