2020 Star Valley Volleyball Wrap

Star Valley ended up winning 2 out of 3 matches this season at the 4A State Tournament so the Braves turned in a nice season, going 17-10-1. Their first-round match with eventual state champion Laramie wasn't very pleasant as the Braves lost in 4, 25-10, 25-16, 22-25, and 25-18. It was a much better outcome in the consolation round for Star Valley as they got by Natrona in 4; 25-17 25-23 17-25 and 25-23. Their match with rival Evanston for 5th place was memorable as the Braves showed a tremendous amount of fortitude as they lost the first 2 sets and won the next 3; 20-25, 26-28, 25-23, 25-23, and 15-11.

Star Valley had one player make the all-state list and that was senior McKenna Brog, Three other Braves players were all-conference in 2020; senior Addison Jenkins, junior Whitnee Hale, and junior Mia Hutchinson. So there is a good foundation for success for next season with 7 seniors expected on the 2021 roster.
