The Lady Blue of Shoshoni endured a 3 win season in 2019-20 but bounced back nicely in 2020-21 with a 2A state tournament appearance. This team beat Riverside in their regional tournament to punch their ticket to state and came to Casper as the #3 seed from the west.

In the quarterfinal round of the state tourney, the Lady Blue meet Sundance and dropped a 47-40 overtime decision. Shoshoni was outscored 10-3 in the extra session in what turned out to be an exciting ballgame. Cheyenne Thompson had an amazing game with 14 points and 16 rebounds, including 8 offensive boards. Cloe Ramsey also had 14 points.

That loss put the Lady Blue into the consolation round and a date with Pine Bluffs. Shoshoni trailed by as many as 13 in the game and made a furious 4th quarter rally only to fall short 53-51. They outscored Sundance 20-12 in the final stanza and received 17 points from Cloe Ramsey with Cheyenne Thompson contributing 12 points and 11 rebounds. This team finished 15-8 and that was their highest win total since 2013.

Cheyenne Thompson capped her prep career by earning all-state status for the 3rd time as she averaged 11 points a game. Cloe Ramsey threw in 10 a game and was an all-state selection. Hailey Donelson also averaged 10 points per game and she was named all-conference.

Thompson and Ramsey were seniors this past season so those are big shoes to fill for next year. But Donelson will return as a junior but next year's squad will not have a single senior. Take a look at our quick video of the Lady Blue from the state tournament. Enjoy!
