In the 2020-21 season, the Southeast girls had 2 of their sophomore players earn 1A all-state distinction: Brenna Herring and Kealy Carson. Another sophomore, Sydney Anderson was named all-conference and a junior Grace Desmond was an all-conference pick as well. So the future looks bright for this Cyclone program.

This team went 15-6 this past season and took 3rd at the state tournament. In the big show in Casper, the Cyclones started with a 34-26 win over Farson-Eden. Kealy Carson led the way with 14 and Southeast won this game without making a single free throw. Then again, they only made it to the line twice.

In the 1A semi-finals, Southeast dropped a 51-43 decision to eventual state champion Cokeville. Sydney Anderson had 13 points and 7 rebounds. Carson chipped in 12 and Grace Desmond had 8. The Cyclones did secure 3rd place at the state tourney with a 39-34 win as the Cyclones outscored the Bucs 15-6 in the 4th quarter. Brenna Herring had 11 points and 8 rebounds as the team as a whole shot 53% from the field. For the season, Carson averaged 10 points a game and, Herring threw in 9 per contest.

We have a short video of the Cyclones from the state tournament. Enjoy!
