Pinedale made a statement at the 3A State Wrestling Tournament with a trio of state champions. Colton Gehlhausen won a state championship in 2020 at 120 pounds and earned his 2nd title with a pin of Conner Todd of Green River at 132. Gehlhausen won an astounding 46 matches this year against just 3 losses and pinned all four of his opponents at the state tournament. Todd finished his sophomore season at 27-10. The 3A 3rd place finisher at 132 was Rylan Weir of Douglas who pinned Kaleb Fila of Star Valley. Weir had a record this season of 36-5 and Fila went 17-14. Devin Weber of Wheatland went 43-3 en route to a 5th place finish. Kein Anderson of Worland took 6th his record was 26-16.

In 4A, Natrona won their first team championship since 1984 and got a huge boost when Kyler Henderson won the 132-pound individual title with a hard-fought 3-1 win over Jais Rose of Thunder Basin. Henderson placed 4th at 132 a year ago and received some major tutoring from Mustang assistant coach Bryce Leonhardt who was a two-time state champion for NC. Henderson posted a record of 37-2 and Rose finished the year at 23-9. Kelly Walsh's Garrett Marker took the podium for 3rd thanks to a pin of Hunter Goodwin of Sheridan. Marker was 20-7 this year and Goodwin completes his prep career at 21-2. Natrona's Dylan Brenton placed 5th after a win over Lucas Hill from Campbell County.

Finally in 2A, the champion at 132 was Deonte Taylor who was dominant in his 13-3 win over Tyzer Isenberger of Wright. Taylor took 4th last year at 138 and was 29-3 this season as a senior. Isenberger, also a senior went 29-11. Asher Nicholson of Lovell posted 29 wins and 3 losses this year and he took 3rd at 132 with a pin of Colton Coffman of Lusk. Coffman wrapped up the year at 31-7. Isaac Struna of Dubois was 5th thanks to a pin of Ayden Kelly of Kemmerer.
